Freezing Winter

So, I have not written in a very long time. I have started a new semester filled with a lot of new stuff. Winter break was wonderful. Levi came home which was a wonderful change of events considering he had planned to be in India the entire time. This gave us a chance to spend a good chunk of time together! it was amazing. Four days of that chunk of time was spent camping with his roomate Garret and his best friend Ari. We had planned to go to Zion National Forest in Utah and camp and do an intense hike. However, when we arrived the first night at about one AM it was FREEZING!!! So we all laid in the tent on the side of the road just waiting for the sun to come up so we could leave. That night we found out got down to 6 degrees! We woke up and there was snow on the inside of our tent from our breathes! aahhh too cold. So we found a nice warm restaurant and got hot coffee and thawed out there for a couple hours while we planned where else we could go.

After much discussion we all agreed to go to Lake Powell. We figured it would be slightly warmer. So we went there and it was much warmer! We all slept every single night with very little problems. It was still really cold but it was much better than Zion. And the lake was beautful and there were plenty of rocks for the boys to throw. The trip was a lot of fun with a lot of relaxing and good company. We went into town every morning and found an adorable little coffee shop. The lady working was very sweet and loved hearing about our camping adventures. We also met a nice man who brought us some fire wood and told us where we could find some more FREE fire wood. Everyone was so friendly there. They were all willing to help us out and point us in the right direction. We stayed at Lake Powell for two or three nights? (I can't remember) and then we all headed our separate ways. Levi and Garret headed back to California from there and Ari and I headed back to Phoenix.

I'll soon post about the other winter adventures that were had!
