SAAF Möda Provŏcateūr

My goal for March is to actually blog again.. yay! However, this means that I would need to do stuff worth blogging about.. so goal 2) do cool stuff. and i figure since I'm not that cool, on all my boring days i will make an effort to catch you up on all the months i have neglected to write about.

anyways... to kick off march I was in the annual SAAF fashion show. SAAF (Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation) is an awesome organization. They raise awareness and money that helps thousands of people with HIV/AIDS. so everyone go get tested! (and don't forget that anyone can be positive).
A friend of mine (Hank) has started a great campaign for them called PlaySAAF. you can check it out at http://playsaaf.org/. There have been billboards all around town for the past few months now sporting the campaign. pretty sweet. so in the fashion show we were basically a live action version of those billboards.

the theme of the campaign is "My work is risky, but I play SAAF" . and it went really well. The crowd seemed to love it. so that is good! My role in all of this was to be a tiger. The career this corresponded to was the "lion tamer" (i know i was a tiger.. details, details). other careers shown, were fire men, army men, pilots, show girls, rodeo cowboys.. and you get the idea. I'll have a group shot of all of us soon, but for now I'll leave you with the only pictures I have..

below is a picture of me with the lion tamer (Candace) along with the other "sexy feline" (Liz)

this next one is us on the cat walk in action.. it's a bit out of focus and i'm not in the light but it's the best i've got
(both of these photos were taken by Edwin Quimpo Serrano)
then after the show there was an after party at the Surly Wench. Here is a photo of Hank (the man behind the magic) and I at the after party.
